The touring pitches are all supposedly "super pitches". They all have water, electric hookup, and grey waste. Great so far. The surface however consists of large gravel which is a nightmare to manoeuvre on,especially with a twin axle caravan, and COMPLETELY USELESS if you want to use an awning. Hard to get the pegs in, then they are not secure and pull out easily. The stones would rip a ground sheet to shreds.

Had a really enjoyable stay in these beautiful surroundings, couldn?t fault the staff or the pitches and will definitely return. Slight concern was the early noise and work going on also one thing that slightly detracts from this little gem is the toilet/shower facilities, could do with a good clean up, 10 out of 10 though for the rest

During our visit we found the toilets weren't kept clean. The taps needed attention. The showers could do with a rack or shelf to put your shampoo etc on The site was being used by long term workmen who left the site at 6.10am and we heard the last car coming onto the site at midnight. . When the very large wheelie bins were emptied it was very noisy at 6am. For the price we paid we expected better. On a positive side the staff were very pleasant !

What a fantastic place! Booked last minute and were lucky to get a pitch, the staff were amazing (thank you Tracey) and the park was superb, we couldn't have asked for more. Toilets and showers were immaculate and will be going back soon.

I thought I would put up this message to say how brilliant the staff were when my family and I stayed over the Easter break. We needed to find a camp site close to Sandhurst due to a close family member being taken ill. It was a last minute booking and the staff made sure that we were looked after. It was very cold and the staff insisted that we used their electric hook-up and provided us with a gas heater to keep the tent warm.
I would highly recommend California country park and touring for a place to stay.
Lastly a great big thank you. We have booked again but in a Chalet for the following week as sadly the family member passed away and we needed a place to attend the funeral.

what a great site. you get a warm welcome from the staff and other people on site. I was taken ill and the staff were amazing, they cared for me till I was taken off to hospital were I spent 3 nights. I travel with my Siberian Husky the staff stepped up and said they would care for him till my return. all I can say a big thank you from my family and myself and my travel mate Teeko. I cant wait to return to a beautiful, relaxing, site. Thank You all Barry and Teeko

just had a fantastic weekend on this campsite in a two bedroom chalet. I have to say this is one of the best sites I have stayed on, spotless chalet could not fault it . Had a look at the touring facilities showers / toilets again spotless. Very well looked after site highly recommended . Took our dog with us and she absolutely loved it great walks around the lake will be back again without a doubt.

It was perfect for us and our 2 dogs. They dogs had a great walks right beside the camp site. Staff very helpful. My only grip was no full length mirror and no plus socket in bathroom. Also mattress and pillow protectors would have been good. Will be going back again as it was perfect for us. Thank you.

Great park, clean chalet had a lovely stay, grand kids loved it, very peaceful and relaxing- only downside was the mattresses on the beds - definitely need to be upgraded before we would return.
Would definitely recommend this place to family and friends very clean place to stay the staff very helpful and if you endure any problems whilst on your holiday the staff are very efficient and get the problem sorted as soon as possible would definitely give the place 10 out of 10 and shall be retuning again very good customer service and a hassle free holiday highly recommend this to people

A few words about our stay at california park we have love d our family holiday here it is peaceful and relaxing. Our little 3 year old loves the park which is 5 min walk also he realy enjoys feeding the ducks deffo come back it is the best family holiday park around.

Just spent the bank holiday weekend here. As we arrived late, we were left a key and map in a helpful envelope which was a nice touch. The campsite was peaceful and the lake was beautiful. The toilets and shower area was clean and staff very friendly and helpful. 5 star from us!

a few mix up at the start of our holiday but was soon sorted, this is a wonderful relaxing park with amazing walks wild life would reccomend to anyone really loved our stay and missed the once we left.

Just spent a lovely bank holiday weekend in our tourer. I grew up next door and hadn't visited since site was developed - it was a real trip down memory lane. The site was clean, well maintained and shower/toilet block was one of the best we've seen. We will definitely be back.
